Hospital Design
This project was designed to accommodate 68 numbers of beds with necessary facilities within a total built-up area of 10650 sqm. The main hospital block was elongated in east-west direction which would maintain the indoor thermal comfort of the building. The main parking provided space for 51 4-wheelers and total of 37 4-wheelers parking were allocated for doctors, nurses and office staffs in their respective blocks. The spaces inside and outside the building were designed with the concept of “integration” to meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.
I was one of the team members of this project and assisted in preparing the design proposal.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the project architect in planning the functions and developing form.
- Study the contours and determine the base level for all the building blocks and their connections.
- Develop the elevations of the main block and staff quarters based on the floor plans.
- Produce the presentation drawings and 3D rendered views of the project in co-ordination with the intern architects.
